Make your (land) mark in this half marathon
This year, the first ever London Landmarks Half Marathon took place and saw 13,000 runners enjoy a route like no other, embracing the run’s themes of The Grand, The Hidden and The Quirky. St Joseph’s had 14 runners this first year including Pearly Queen Teresa Watts.
Teresa is the 5th generation Pearly Queen of Clapton and ran as part of our team to support St Joseph’s, wearing her full Pearly suit! Teresa said: “The atmosphere and feel good factor was amazing, you could feel the respect between the runners, if this isn’t enough you run through London history and iconic architecture. I completed the run wearing a Pearly Suit weighing two and a half stone motivated by the thought of patients receiving so much love and care at St Joseph's, you could too!”
We still have places available for next year’s event and we’d love to have you on our team! https://www.stjh.org.uk/london-landmarks-half-marathon
It can be fun and a great personal challenge to take part in an event to raise vital funds for St Joseph’s Hospice. But we know that not everyone has the time or energy to commit to training or taking time out of their busy schedules. We do however rely on your support so please consider making a donation today. Thank you.
