Unauthorised Door-to-Door Fundraisers

We have some of our fabulous fundraisers in your neighbourhood who would love to tell you more about the Hospice, but please be vigilant and check they are legitimate.

Name Badge Jos

We have recently been made aware that there are people in the local area going door to door and asking for cash donations for St Joseph’s Hospice. We want to let our supporters know that these people are not legitimately collecting our behalf, and this has been reported to the Metropolitan Police. Please be vigilant and do not give money at the door.

Our authorised fundraisers

We DO have authorised fundraisers out in the community who are promoting our lottery (with Local Hospice Lottery) and Sponsor a Nurse campaigns.

They visit homes and venues across East London, giving people the chance to find out about our work and support us with a regular gift. These campaigns are an essential source of much-needed funds and allow us to reach new supporters who we might not have had the opportunity to contact in other ways.

Please be advised that our fundraisers can be identified by:

  • Wearing an official St Joseph’s Hospice or Local Hospice Lottery T-Shirt
  • Carrying formal identification
  • Will NEVER ask for cash/donations at the door

You can find images of all of our authorised fundraisers here, or by clicking the button below.
