Musical Tea Party

A beautiful sunny day for our Musical Tea Party during Dementia Action Week.

Jo Selecting The Next Song On The Playlist! (002)

It was a beautiful sunny day for our Musical Tea Party which was held in the fabulous gardens of the Hospice during Dementia Action Week.

We welcomed visitors from Russia Lane Day Centre and Albion Road supported living, and five of our wonderful Namaste volunteers offered hand massage. One of our volunteers brought her little boy who really enjoyed chatting to the older people there.

Afternoon tea and sandwiches, and cake of course, were served on vintage crockery and our Namaste Care Manager Jo Morton was DJ Jo for the day, gathering up people’s favourite and most meaningful songs and playing them. It was lovely to see people waltzing and having a great time in the sunshine.

Flowers were provided by Jocelyn our Head Gardener.

We will definitely be seeing them again soon judging by the feedback we received.

“We thoroughly enjoyed the session. The residents … can’t stop talking about it. We hope to come again when we are invited.”

“Many thanks again for a wonderful afternoon.”
