Inpatient Care

We currently have two wards, Lourdes and St Michael’s, which have 17 beds each, including Respite beds. We have a large team of professionals providing the highest quality palliative care, who will work with you and your family or carer.

Community Palliative Care

Many people with a serious or life-limiting illness prefer to remain in their own home rather than receiving care at the Hospice. Our Community Palliative Care Team provide care, advice and support in a variety of settings, including patients’ own homes, care homes and other residential settings.

Community and Day Services

We have a range of community and services for people who may need a little extra support to help manage emotional and practical problems. This includes Day Hospice, outpatient clinics, social work and welfare benefits, a carers service and our award winning Compassionate Neighbours network.

Social worker support

Advice, Information and Advocacy

Our team of specialist palliative care social workers help manage the emotional impact and practical problems that affect those with a life-limiting illness, their families and carers.

Our Welfare Benefits Service provides support with benefits applications and health related discounts. We provide support at the Hospice and in the community.

Support, Counselling and Bereavement Services

Emotional distress and worries are not unusual among people affected by the death of a loved one or the diagnosis of a life-limiting illness. We have a team of highly trained and experienced counsellors and chaplains who can help support you in whatever way is best for you and your family.
