We provide compassionate, specialist palliative and end of life care to people in East London who are living with a life-limiting illness.
Due to the lockdown that applies to the whole of England, we have had to make changes to some of our services to comply with official guidance.
The aim of the lockdown is to reduce contact between people, which in turn reduces the spread of infection. The welfare of our patients, visitors and staff is our priority and by following these guidelines we can keep everyone safe.

Inpatient Care

We currently have two wards, Lourdes and St Michael’s, which have 17 beds each, including Respite beds. We have a large team of professionals providing the highest quality palliative care, who will work with you and your family or carer.

Community Palliative Care

Many people with a serious or life-limiting illness prefer to remain in their own home rather than receiving care at the Hospice. Our Community Palliative Care Team provide care, advice and support in a variety of settings, including patients’ own homes, care homes and other residential settings.

Community and Day Services

We have a range of community and services for people who may need a little extra support to help manage emotional and practical problems. This includes Day Hospice, outpatient clinics, social work and welfare benefits, a carers service and our award winning Compassionate Neighbours network.

Therapies

We care for the whole person which means supporting your mental wellbeing as well as your physical needs. With our wide range of therapies we can help you achieve the best quality of life that is possible for you.

Counselling and Advice

Emotional distress and worries are not unusual among people affected by the death of a loved one or the diagnosis of a life-limiting illness. We have a team of highly trained and experienced counsellors and chaplains who can help support you in whatever way is best for you and your family.
