Our Care
Our patients are at the heart of everything we do. Our care is inspired by love and a commitment to supporting patients in their preferred environment, whether in the Hospice, at home, in the community, or by caring for others who give care.

Inpatient Care
We currently have two wards, Lourdes and St Michael’s, which have 17 beds each, including Respite beds. We have a large team of professionals providing the highest quality palliative care, who will work with you and your family or carer.
Community Palliative Care
Many people with a serious or life-limiting illness prefer to remain in their own home rather than receiving care at the Hospice. Our Community Palliative Care Team provide care, advice and support in a variety of settings, including patients’ own homes, care homes and other residential settings.
Community and Day Services
We have a range of community and services for people who may need a little extra support to help manage emotional and practical problems. This includes Day Hospice, outpatient clinics, social work and welfare benefits, a carers service and our award winning Compassionate Neighbours network.
Therapies
We care for the whole person which means supporting your mental wellbeing as well as your physical needs. With our wide range of therapies we can help you achieve the best quality of life that is possible for you.
Counselling and Advice
Emotional distress and worries are not unusual among people affected by the death of a loved one or the diagnosis of a life-limiting illness. We have a team of highly trained and experienced counsellors and chaplains who can help support you in whatever way is best for you and your family.
