How to find us

St Joseph’s Hospice is in the heart of Hackney on Mare Street and is easily reached by public transport. Parking in our small car park is only available for blue badge holders and families of end of life patients by prior arrangement with the Hospice.

How to find us

Getting to the Hospice

We would advise you travel to the Hospice by public transport if you can as parking is limited at the Hospice.

BUS

The following buses pass the gate (D6 – 26 – 55 – 106 – 254)

TUBE

Central Line to Bethnal Green, and then by bus (106 – 254) or 15 minutes walk from the Tube Station. District Line to Whitechapel and then by bus (254 – 106) from outside the station.

RAIL

The nearest station is London Fields which provides onward connections to Liverpool Street, Walthamstow, Chingford and beyond.

Parking restrictions do change from time to time so please check carefully before you leave your vehicle and ensure that the correct payment is made if parking at a meter.

Please take a look at the Hackney Gov website before you travel to the Hospice if you are unsure or need further information.

Parking near the Hospice

Some disabled parking spaces are available at the Hospice for blue badge holders but please note that otherwise there is extremely limited parking and no visitors parking between 8am and 9pm. There is  metered parking in the roads near to the Hospice and paid parking is available between the hours of 8.30am and 6.30pm.

Please check carefully what the parking restrictions are for the road you are parking in as the restrictions are different for each road.

 

Beck Road

There are limited pay and display bays located on Beck Road which is directly opposite the Hospice. Paid parking is available for up to 4 hours.

  • Charge time: Monday-Saturday 8:30am-6:30pm
  • Minimum stay: 30 minutes
  • Maximum stay: 4 hours

Bush Road

There are limited pay and display bays located on Bush Road E8. Bush Road is approximately two minutes’ walk from the Hospice.

  • Charge time: Monday-Saturday 8:30am-6:30pm
  • Minimum stay: 30 minutes
  • Maximum stay: 4 hours

Sheep Lane

Sheep Lane is a pay and display zone and is located five minutes’ walk from the Hospice.

  • Charge time: Monday-Saturday 8:30am-6:30pm
  • Minimum stay: 30 minutes
  • Maximum stay: 10 hours

Bocking Street

Bocking Street is a pay and display zone, located approximately a two minute walk from the Hospice.

  • Monday-Saturday 8:30am-6:30pm
  • Minimum stay: 30 minutes
  • Maximum stay: 4 hours
