Got some unwanted items that you would like to donate to us?
We sell your donated items to help us raise much needed funds. Our famous jumble sales happen 4 times a year and help us raise over £75,000 to pay for patient services.
Jumble dates for 2018:
- 14th July
- 8th September
- 24th November
The sales are from 10am - 1pm at St Joseph's Hospice.
We sometimes run small sales in our community hub. These do not happen every week but we will keep this page updated with upcoming sales

What items do we accept?
We're looking for good quality items that people would like to buy, so the better the condition they are in the more we can raise. When you are sorting your items, make sure that they are clean, not broken and in good condition.
- Pairs of shoes
- CDs and DVDs
- Children’s toys
There are items that we are not able to sell or accept due to storage space and legal requirements; we do recycle as much as we can. Click here for a full list.
Unfortunately we will no longer be offering our free pick-up service. However we are open 24 hours a day and you are welcome to drop your items at the hospice any time.
There are local pick-up services that can help you if you are not able to bring your items in:
The Paragon Trust are located in Hackney and offer a pick-up service. They do also support the hospice. You can contact them on 020 8986 9800.
Many of the local councils offer a free service, you would need to contact them directly to arrange the details.
You can always sell your items on Ebay and choose to donate some or all of the proceeds to us. When you list your item to sell you are given the option to raise funds for charity. You will find us listed in the A-Z as St Joseph’s Hospice.
