Important changes to our collection boxes in light of COVID-19

We are exceptionally grateful to all of our supporters near and far who host collection boxes to raise funds for St Joseph’s Hospice. Usually, we would rely on the support of our committed volunteers to visit you and your business in-person to help you manage your tin – from collecting full tins, to supplying you with additional materials. In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we must prioritise the safety of our volunteers, staff and local community, and as such, as collection tin pick-ups and drop-offs are currently suspended. 

If you have a tin that is full, please see below for instructions on how to empty it, and pay in your funds remotely. Alternatively, you can store the tin somewhere safe for the time being, and use the form below to request a new tin.

Paying in your funds raised

If you have a full collection tin, simply download and complete our Collection Tin Cash Sheet to count up what you have raised.

You can then send your completed Cash Sheet to us, along with a cheque made payable to ‘St Joseph’s Hospice’ to:

How to raise funds without cash!

Our collection tins are a simple and effective way to support our vital services, but you may want to boost your fundraising with other, cashless fundraising activities. Here’s some ideas to get you started.

Round-up at the till

Encourage patrons and customers paying by card to consider rounding up their purchases to the nearest pound, with all proceeds going to St Joseph’s Hospice, their local community hospice charity. Collect the proceeds at the end of each month or quarter and donate them to us.

Introduce promotions & offers

Take a look at your best-selling product and introduce a scheme whereby anything from 10p to £1 (or more!) from each sale is collected to support St Joseph’s Hospice. Be sure to market this new promotion widely to showcase your commitment to supporting local causes!
