Did you know that by completing a Gift Aid Declaration, for every pound you give us, St Joseph’s Hospice gets an extra 25p from HMRC? This means that your donation goes even further at no additional cost to you. For example, a donation of £10 is worth £12.50 after Gift Aid. These additional funds could make a real difference to our work.
- The Gift Aid reclaimed from a £20 donation could buy headphones, so that a patient can listen to music whenever they like.
- The Gift Aid reclaimed from a £60 donation could provide a box of syringes, used every day on the wards by our nurses.
- The Gift Aid reclaimed from a £120 donation could pay for two hours of nursing care for a patient in need.
To qualify for Gift Aid, the amount you pay in income tax or capital gains tax must be at least as much as the amount we will claim in the tax year. Also, if you pay tax at the higher rate, you can claim additional relief through your tax return.
You can also download this form and post it to the address provided. This provides us with the minimum information required for us to be able to claim Gift Aid on your donation.
