A challenge you’re going to love
How often do we think, I must give one of my family members a call or I should check in on my neighbour, I haven’t seen him for a while? What about those friends you’ve lost touch with and would love to hear how they’re doing?
Or that book that you want to read when you have that quiet moment for yourself? Well this month, we’re calling it the month of love, our Compassionate Neighbours team are challenging you to do Three Love Things:
- Get in contact with someone you haven’t spoken to in a while, by phone or post – you never know it may brighten up their day and yours.
- A random act of kindness to a stranger or a friend – Even a smile is worthwhile or a cup of tea
- Do something extra special for yourself – Listen to your favourite music, have a relaxing bath, or buy something for yourself however big or small that’s just for you.
As we’re all spending more time at home and reaching out within communities to our friends near and far and love ones, let’s give it a try.
We want to know how you’re doing in each challenge so please make sure you share your stories, pictures or videos with us at St Joseph’s on Facebook and Twitter where you’ll find us @StJoHospice or drop us an email cn@stjh.org.uk. Include the words – I have done the TLT Challenge.
