Recharging my batteries
I’ve just had four days in Cornwall to recharge my batteries after a very busy and difficult year.
Not just for me but for everyone. I wanted to stop, unwind and relax so that when I return I can continue to support the teams, in my role as infection control lead and Matron.
I took this picture yesterday after a heavy shower and I thought of all the people who have been and continue to be affected by COVID-19.
I saw this and thought there will be sunshine at some point, I feel sure of this.
I am so grateful for the support I have received from so many incredible people at St Joseph’s and how hard the teams have worked to keep the Hospice operating safely and effectively.
We will continue to be there for the people of East London who need our help, you can be sure of that.
There’s something special about this place and the people.
