Learning Objectives
- Recognise dying as a dynamic process and be able to consider and rule out potential reversible causes unique to each person and their disease.
- Identify ways of initiating discussions about the dying process with the multidisciplinary team, the patient and those important to them.
- Identify the common physical, psychological and spiritual needs of the dying person and those important to them and explore how to be able to provide person centred care to support a comfortable death.
