Bowling for glory as London Fields Charity Sixes Cricket Tournament returns!

Each midsummer, London Fields Cricket Club holds a six-a-side tournament, joined by seven other east London cricket clubs in support of St Joseph’s Hospice. Despite the pandemic, this year they’re determined to smash 2019’s incredible total raised.

With hyperactive, fun cricket played constantly from 10am to 7pm, food and drinks provided by kind sponsors Lardo and London Fields Brewery, a raffle, music and other diversions, London Fields Charity Sixes Cricket Tournament is a much-loved event, now in its 12th year of supporting St Joseph’s Hospice. Usually held on lovely London Fields, this year the charity tournament will be held on Millfields in Clapton on Sunday 4th July.

Hugh, one of the organisers, is hoping to raise money for St Joseph’s Hospice from the participating teams, the raffle, and online donations, and surpass the £1,722 mark raised back in 2019.

So far, London Fields Cricket Club have raised over £10,000 over the years to support the Hospice… that amount could cover the cost of four specialist recliner chairs for our wards, increasing patients’ comfort whilst receiving care! A huge thank you to everyone involved – and we wish you the very best of luck!
