Raising funds & fitness levels thanks to LDN PHYSIO!

Any one who takes on a sporting challenge to raise funds for St Joseph’s Hospice receives specialist support and advice kindly provided for free by local company, LDN PHYSIO. Find out more first-hand about their amazing commitment to our cause.

We are LDN PHYSIO, a local physiotherapy, health and well-being business primarily based in Hackney and more on the horizon, including our new Camden clinic. We started supporting St Joseph’s Hospice a couple of years ago now – time has flown by – and look to continue far into the future.

Our decision to support St Joseph’s Hospice was an easy one. I worked in respiratory physiotherapy before I specialised in sports injuries. During this time I worked with people with lung disease (COPD) and other life-limiting respiratory illnesses which led me to help run the Breathe Easy group (part of the British Lung Foundation) here at St Joseph’s. I had seen what an important difference a hospice can make for people and families going through their toughest time and saw how the extended family here can support the local community.

So, Nic, Mani and I sat down over a beer and asked ourselves how we can give back more than a few quid here and there. As physiotherapists we thought we could use our skills in injury rehabilitation, injury prevention and sports performance to help those who are putting in the real hard work – the fundraisers. We hope that by supporting St Joseph’s fundraisers in achieving their challenges, this can directly make a big difference to the amount raised and for the hospice. Whether someone picks up an injury in marathon training or has a goal they want to aim towards for a fundraising event, we hope to share our knowledge and support where we can.

With our on-going commitment to St Joseph’s, we hope to encourage more people to return to fundraising and for more to join the brilliant team here.
