 HOSPICE NEWS
Ward Refurbishment
How we expect the new St Michael's Ward to look
 We are delighted to let
you know that thanks to
your support and generous
donations (and patience),
the work on what will be the
new St Michael’s Ward is
Before
well underway. This will be
located on the first floor and
After
the current St Anne’s Ward will move to the third
floor. We are really excited to see this project come to fruition after delays due
to the pandemic, and can't wait to see our patients enjoying the benefits of the new, modern facilities that we will be able to offer.
Check out our website for progress updates on the refurbishment!
Black History Month
In October we celebrated Black History Month thanks to the hard work of our Pan- Ethnic Inclusivity Network.
The theme for the month was ‘Saluting
our Sisters’, celebrating the contribution of Black women throughout history. Our big and bold display in the Hub told the stories of inspirational Black women who all reflected our values of Advocacy, Respect, Compassion, Justice and Quality.
We also were delighted to host two
speakers at the Hospice, Bunmi
Duruwoju discussing The Matriarch
Within, and Nerissa Caesar looking into
why advocacy and compassion are important in the context of Black History Month. Thank you so much to the Pan-Ethnic Inclusivity Network for organising an insightful and stimulating month!
