HOSPICE STORY
Tina’s Story A True Inspiration
This is Tina – or Queenie, one of her many nicknames from her large circle of friends and family.
Born and raised here in the East End of London, Tina met her beloved partner Daniel in the late 1970s and sadly faced much scrutiny for dating someone of a different ethnicity. With her two daughters from a previous relationship, and two children she had with Daniel, Tina was at the very
heart of her family, and when they
chose to marry
later on, it was just one of many beautiful memories made in their
lives together. Despite a diagnosis of cancer, Tina continued to live every day full of joy, faith and love. She died at the Hospice on 17th July 2023 at the age of just 62, surrounded by her loved ones.
“The staff in the Hospice was always respectful, supportive, patient and attentive, no matter how demanding Queenie got in the end! Tina had everything she wanted, and the work of the doctors and nurses allowed us as a family to spend quality time with her.
