As short as her time at the Hospice was, staff made it as pleasant and as comfortable as it could be.”
Incredibly, Tina had chosen to give back to the Hospice even when she was an inpatient and very ill. Her online tribute page alone has raised almost £1,000 for the Hospice as of late 2023. This could cover the cost of 25 counselling sessions here at the Hospice for bereaved children, which truly exemplifies Tina’s dedication to giving back.
“Tina had a heart of gold and always put others before herself – right up to the day she took her last breath, when she was still sorting out her last bills to be paid, arrangements for a fundraiser for St Joseph’s Hospice and even the eulogy for her own funeral. Tina and Daniel both spoke about fundraising for the Hospice, as it is of both of their natures to help others and to give to those who
need help.”
“Tina asked everyone to rejoice and celebrate her life, and not to mourn
her death. We would like to thank
St Joseph’s Hospice for the online tribute page and also the memorial leaf plaque on the Memory Tree, which is dedicated to our late Wife and Mum. It is always nice to see the pictures and nice comments people make about Tina.”
Tina’s legacy will live on through
her husband, brother, four children, sixteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. We hope that Tina’s leaf on the Tree of Life here at the Hospice serves as a comfort to them, and that her MuchLoved page continues to be a place for pictures, stories and happy memories to be shared.
