What people say about our death cafe

We often hear that people can feel unsure at first, but those who attend frequently tell us how warm and reassuring the experience is.

Here are some thoughts from people who’ve joined us at our previous sessions.

How did you find our Death Cafe?

Our next event

Our Death Café at St Joseph’s Hospice offers a friendly, informal space to talk about dying and loss, whatever feels right for you.

There’s no agenda and no pressure to speak. Just open conversation and listening – with plenty of tea and cake along the way! By talking openly about death, many people find they gain a deeper appreciation for life and a greater sense of connection to others. Death Café is open to everyone whether you’ve experienced loss, are feeling curious or simply want to listen.

Join us for our next session in January! We’ll be meeting in a slightly different location than usual, downstairs at the hospice in the Garden Room.

Wednesday 21st January, 2pm – 3.30pm
St Joseph’s Hospice, E8 4SA

*Please note: This is not a drop-in session, we ask that you please turn up in time for the session start.
