Help protect St Joseph’s Hospice and our patients from the impact of coronavirus
The coronavirus pandemic has thrown us into a crisis. Over the last few weeks, we have had to cancel many of our fundraising events and activities as well as having to close our high street shops. As you can imagine, this has resulted in a dramatic decline in income which will only worsen as the coronavirus situation continues to deteriorate.
It is great news that the government is providing some funding for hospices but we do not know what this will mean for St Joseph’s Hospice. What we do know is that right now, we need to urgently increase our services so that patients in their final days and weeks – who are cut off from their loved ones - can get the support that they urgently need..
While our income has diminished due to the lockdown, the demand for our services is increasing. Next week, we will re-open St Anne’s ward for patients needing end of life care, including those with suspected or confirmed COVID-19. We have also decided to increase our ward capacity from 28 beds to 51. This will have a huge impact on our front line staff and we therefore need your support more than ever before.
Your donation today will ensure that your Hospice can provide the best level of care for those who urgently need it during these uncertain times. Do support our work by making a donation today.
