The Great East End Eats 2025: Eat, drink and do good this August

An East End take on the Spanish tapas route – all in support of St Joseph’s Hospice! This 10-day celebration of local food and drink runs from 14th-24th August.

Geee25 Hero 1

For 10 days this August, some of East London’s favourite cafés, pubs and restaurants are coming together to raise vital funds for St Joseph’s Hospice through a unique dining experience – the Great East End Eats. Running from Thursday 14th – Sunday 24th August, this event is inspired by the traditional Spanish tapas route. Diners can order each venue’s specially selected dish or drink, knowing that a portion of the profits will support St Joseph’s Hospice in continuing to provide expert, compassionate care for people and families across the East End.

From banana bread to birria tacos, there’s something for every taste, and we’re thrilled to have so many incredible venues taking part. It’s also a fantastic way to discover new favourite restaurants or explore local spots, and we’re encouraging supporters to visit as many venues as possible.

This event is proudly supported by EatClub UK. The Shoreditch-based app launched in the capital this April, and offers users discounts up to 50% off top restaurants across London. Across the 10 days, they’ll be donating £3 for every in-app offer redeemed in their 150+ restaurants across Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and The City. It’s a great additional way for diners to get involved this summer – no promo code needed, just download the app.

EatClub UK first started life in the East End and lots of our team have lived and worked in the area for years – it felt like a win-win to bring our app, a marketplace of 150+ local bars and restaurants where you can enjoy up to 50% off, to The Great East End Eats and give the community an additional way to celebrate and raise money for St Joseph’s. We’re huge fans of the creativity and innovation the team have put into the project – celebrating the world class hospitality that makes the East End so special.”- Liz Le Breton, VP EatClub UK
