Love Your Local

We think that St Joseph’s Hospice has a lot in common with your local; our doors are open to everyone and we are counsellors and listeners, a social hub and a place of sanctuary! That’s why we want you to get involved in our Love Your Local pub challenge.

We already get a lot of support from our loyal locals and we want to encourage more pubs and bars to support us.  If 40 pubs raised £500 each we could reach our £20,000 target.  This could pay for all this:

  • 3 months’ worth of catering for all our patients
  • 3 days of nursing staff for St Michael’s Ward
  • AND 100 hours’ worth of physiotherapy

So sign up, set your target, take your place on the Love Your Local League table and we will send you a pack of materials to get you started.  You can organise a pub quiz, a race night, a themed night, karaoke, open mic or just a good old game of darts. However you choose to raise the funds is up to you and your patrons.

If you are a pub regular then let your local know about the challenge and encourage them to sign up today.

Did you know that 32% of 18-24 year old adults would use their local pub more regularly if more charity events were organised?  So why wouldn’t you sign up?
