Steph’s Story
Steph’s beloved Nan, Maura, was cared for at St Joseph’s Hospice in 2022. Last year, Steph and her Mum, Trish, each bought Flowers of Celebration in honour of Maura, as a special way to remember her whilst raising money for the Hospice.

Last year, Steph and her Mum, Trish, each bought Flowers of Celebration in honour of Maura, as a special way to remember her whilst raising money for the Hospice. They both came to our special Garden of Celebration event in August, to see all of the flowers displayed together in the Hospice gardens.
“My family and I attended Flowers of Celebration in 2023 after my Nan’s passing in October 2022. It’s a day where everyone can come together to reflect and admire the beautiful flower garden, along with the most heartfelt messages from ourselves and others who have unfortunately lost a loved one. It’s truly a memorable way to raise money for the Hospice and dedicate your love to that special person, and it’s definitely something we will continue to attend every year in loving memory of my Nan.
The Hospice itself will always play a huge part in our lives. It’s like being part of one big family. We are forever grateful for the support my Nan received from the staff during her final days, and the support we have received since has been incredible.”

Like Steph, will you purchase a Flower of Celebration for someone special?
This year’s flower is a beautiful white porcelain with hints of yellow and orange, representing thoughtfulness and reflection.
When you purchase your Flower of Celebration, you will be invited to attend the opening of our Garden of Celebration on Saturday 10th August to see each flower planted.
