St Joseph’s currently has two retail stores and we are planning to open up more in the future. The stores are busy and rewarding places to volunteer. Our volunteers are a vital part of our stores and play a huge part in our successes. We sell clothes, books, toys and accessories they are bright and modern, why not take a look when you are passing?

About the role

The Retail Lead role is a varied and responsible one where you will be supporting the Shop Manager with every aspect in the day-to-day running of the shop, from providing excellent customer service to stock research.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the opening and closing of our stores.
  • Supporting the manager with the day-to-day running of the stores.
  • Follow retail guidelines

What skills do you need?

  • Are you a natural team leader and problem solver?
  • Do you have great communication skills?

If the answer to most of these is yes to most of these, then this could be the ideal role for you.

  • Are aged 18 and over
  • Have great customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Are well presented
  • Are willing to take responsibility and manage others
  • Are aware of health and safety concerns
  • Are trustworthy, reliable and a great team player
  • Are flexible and eager to learn
  • Have good literacy and numeracy skills including the ability to handle money
  • Have a good level of physical fitness
  • Can act as an ambassador for the Hospice
  • Have the ability to treat with confidentiality any information, which is personal, private or sensitive
