Over £88K+ raised at the Hackney Half 2026!
A huge well done to the 157 incredible people who took on the Hackney Half 2026 on Sunday 17th May. They’ve raised a phenomenal £88,000 and counting, all of which will help us continue providing our vital services to everyone who needs them.
The Hackney Half is one of our favourite events of the year – not least because it’s on our doorstep!

The weather held out and our runners did a spectacular job taking on the 13.1 miles around Hackney. Our Fundraising team were based at our cheer point outside the Hospice at Mile 9.5, as well as at the race village, waving runners off and welcoming them back at the finish line.
We had 157 amazing runners, including staff, volunteers, and lots of supporters, all with their own special reason for supporting St Joseph’s, and it was a pleasure to cheer them on throughout the day.
The £88,000+ they’ve raised so far will help us continue to be there for everyone in East London who needs us – so from all of us here, thank you!

A special thank you to the wonderful LDN Physio…
From joining us at our Hackney Half Welcome Evening to give expert advice, to offering discounted sessions and free of charge post-race massages on the day, they consistently show up to support us and we’re incredibly grateful for all they do for us and #TeamSTJH.

Places in the Hackney Half general sale sell out quickly, so running with St Joseph’s Hospice is a fantastic opportunity to secure your spot whilst doing something brilliant for your local Hospice.
Registration is £30, and we ask that runners raise a minimum of £300. Every penny raised helps our expert doctors, nurses, therapists and counsellors to continue caring for people across Hackney and the City, Newham and Tower Hamlets facing life-limiting illnesses, helping them to live well until the very end.
