Over £48K+ raised at the London Marathon 2026!
Our amazing #TeamSTJH runners took on the world’s biggest and best marathon to raise vital funds for St Joseph’s Hospice.
This year’s team was made up of 16 incredible individuals, all of which with their own personal stories and connections to the Hospice. Like Stevie-Marie, running her second London Marathon for St Joseph’s in memory of her Nan, Mary. Or Rachel, a Sponsor a Nurse supporter who decided to use her love of running to raise money and awareness of her local Hospice. We also shared stories from Kate, running in memory of Mark, who was cared for here in his final days after a diagnosis of Motor Neurone disease, and James, who decided to apply for a marathon place after spotting a runner in a St Joseph’s Hospice vest at last year’s Hackney Half, 17 years after his Dad, Seamus was cared for here.

We’re unbelievably grateful for each and every runner’s dedication, commitment and enthusiasm. The funds raised will help us continue providing our compassionate palliative care to everyone who needs it in East London.
We’d also like to say a huge thank you to our volunteers who gave up their time to join us at our cheer point in Shadwell – we know what a huge difference this makes to runners, so we’re very grateful.
