Life Magazine - Issue 44, Winter 2025

We’re so excited to share with you the latest edition of our very own magazine, Life, where we round up all the news you need to know from the Hospice and tell the stories of the wonderful patients, families, volunteers and staff who make St Joseph’s such a special place to be. This issue will be the first of the year, with two further issues to follow, and it’s an extra-special edition as it marks our 120th birthday on 15th January 2025.

In this issue, you’ll hear from Day Hospice patient Bill on how physiotherapy and acupuncture help him to live well at home, read about how a partnership with local charity Cabaret vs Cancer has helped us to care for children facing a bereavement and take a trip down memory lane for the first in a series on the history of St Joseph’s, covering the years between 1905-1945.

You’ll also meet our new CEO, Dr Rachel Black, who joined the Hospice in November 2024, spend a day with our Enterprise Team and get all the information you need to help us celebrate 120 years of compassionate care.
