We are now accepting donated items for resale

We are pleased to announce to our friends and neighbours that you can once again donate items for resale at St Joseph’s Hospice!  We have resumed this service to the community after we briefly had to stop taking donations due to a large amount of stock and lack of storage space.

Donations of items for resale result in much needed funds, raised through jumble sales and in our shops, to help us care for the patients we serve.  Donated items are an important source of revenue for the Hospice, as well as enabling a wonderful community service to local residents, some of whom are on tight budgets.

We will gladly accept your donations of good quality used clothing (no stains, tears, or missing buttons please as we cannot sell these items), household items, bric-a-brac, linens/duvets, shoes, jewellery, and art pieces.

Please drop off your items at Reception from 9am to 4pm daily, in sturdy boxes or plastic bags.  We have a special need for good men’s clothing, coats, clothing for children 7 to 18 years, and finer ladies wear and accessories for office or night out.  We would also love any vintage and designer items which we can sell at a slightly higher price and bring in increased revenue for the Hospice during our jumble sales and in the Hospice’s shop.

Our jumble sales throughout the year are a big hit with the community, and items for all budgets are desperately needed as we’ve depleted a lot of the previous stock we had accumulated.

Please do not leave items or bags in the Car Park. We need to keep this area clear for friends and family visiting their loved ones at the Hospice.  You can also donate items at our “pop-up” shop at 194 Well Street from Monday to Saturday.  Thank you in advance for supporting St Joseph’s Hospice and at the same time, helping others in the community.

Please note that we can no longer accept vinyl records, paperback books, furniture, electrics and computer items.  No DVDs or CDs, please.

Contact the Fundraising Department on 020 8525 6000 for more information or with questions before you come over with your bags and boxes.

We would like to hear from you
