UK Islamic Mission raising funds for new recliner chairs
St Joseph’s Hospice was invited by the UK Islamic Mission to speak about the Hospice and its work, last Friday following afternoon prayers, at the Masjid-Ibrahim Mosque and Islamic Centre in East London.
We spoke to more than 1,500 worshippers about our work here at the Hospice, and the pledge by UK Islamic Mission to raise funds in support of the much needed new patient therapeutic recliner chairs. Following our talk, a collection was taken up, and £1,955 was generously donated by worshippers!
St Joseph’s Hospice strives to provide free, compassionate, culturally sensitive care to anyone with a life-limiting illness who lives in our core boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Newham and City & Hackney. This care can be provided either in the Hospice or at home in the community.
If you think we can help you please give us a call on 0300 30 30 400.
