Kay Daley, still feeling the vibe

Kay Daley is our Learning and Development Administrator. Before she came to St Joseph’s she was a Bank Manager and after many years in banking decided she wanted to work in Hackney as it's her local community. Now it may have been fate but one day a colleague at the bank was coming to St Joseph’s for the annual Light up a Light service and didn’t know where the hospice was. As a Hackney girl Kay knew the hospice well and said she’d come along and she stayed for the service. She loved the vibe and decided that this is where she wanted to be. As luck would have it, a job came up in the Education Centre and 14 years later she’s still here.

Kay organises all of the training programmes, both internal for staff and external for people coming to the hospice to use our education facilities. She’s also in charge of meeting room bookings and looks after hospitality for events.

Kay still comes to Light up a Life every year, she usually does a reading as that first connection with the hospice still feels really important to her, she's still feeling the vibe!

Light up a Life takes place on Thursday 6th December. Put the date in your diary, more information coming soon.

We would like to hear from you
