10 good reasons why

At St Joseph’s we look after mums, dads, brothers, sons, daughters, wives, husbands, partners, fathers and mothers in law, nans, grandads and friends. In fact we look after anyone in East London who has a terminal or life-limiting illness who needs our help and support.

On Sunday 130 people who have lost a loved one at St Joseph’s or has benefitted from counselling or one of the many services we offer here, will walk for 10 miles and raise money for St Joseph’s, so that more people can be cared for in the future. Here are just 10 reasons why people are walking 10 miles for St Joseph's.

My daughter was in the hospice 2 years ago
My husband received support when he was terminally ill
My wife was referred to the hospice last year for bereavement counselling so I am showing my support
A friend of mine spent his last few days there being looked after
My mother in law was looked after there
St Joseph's looked after my mum extremely well and other people too
The hospice does great work and looked after my nan
A friend is currently using the facilities
My brother died there
My partners father received end of life care at St Joseph’s

If walking 10 miles isn't for you, why not make a donation or  Text WECARE to 70660 and donate £5 to St Joseph's Hospice from your mobile phone. Thank you.

We would like to hear from you
