Clubs and Groups
East London’s diversity brings a wealth of unique clubs and groups, from the local Freemasons to Newham Super Choir to the London Irish Vintage Club – catering to everyone’s hobbies and passions.
St Joseph’s Hospice relies on the generous support of these groups and many others, for which we are deeply grateful. Your contributions help us deliver outstanding care to our community and their families, enabling them to live their best lives for as long as possible.

Meet some of our community partners
Leyton Orient FC
Here at St Joseph’s Hospice, we go above and beyond to create lasting memories for patients and their families, so it was special to see the delight on the faces of footy-mad patients when Leyton Orient Football Club visited! A few of the O’s helped spread Christmas cheer at our Day Hospice and on our inpatient Wards. This was one of our highlights of 2023, and not a trip patients or staff will forget in a hurry!

London Irish Vintage Club
As a charity with Irish heritage, our partnership with the London Irish Vintage Club feels like a match made in heaven! The Club selected us as one of their charities of the year in 2023, and raised an incredible £15,000 from their annual Vintage Day. To put that into perspective, £15,000 can provide nearly two months of support for our Dementia Wellbeing East London service, which offers person-centred care, social, and emotional support for people with moderate to advanced dementia, to improve their comfort, connectedness, and wellbeing.

Charlie, Community Fundraiser
Charlie joined St Joseph’s Hospice in August 2023 and since then has dressed up as a reindeer on more than one occasion, whilst also launching fun community initiatives such as the 2024 Euros Sweepstake and Sports Day for St Joseph’s. Come rain or shine you’ll likely spot Charlie as he cycles to visit supporters in the community, delivering a quality supporter experience for our fantastic fundraisers!
