Garden of Celebration 2025
See photos from this year’s Garden of Celebration event, including the total amount raised by our incredible supporters.
On Saturday 12th July, we opened this summer’s Garden of Celebration here at the Hospice. Our team of staff and volunteers welcomed over 140 visitors to our peaceful gardens to to see this year’s beautiful purple and red ceramic Flowers of Celebration, each one planted in memory of someone special.
It was a beautiful day, and we hope that everyone who attended found joy and comfort in the experience.

For the first time ever, we’ve completely sold out of flowers – raising a record-breaking £16,649 for St Joseph’s Hospice!
As a local charity that receives around half of its funding from the NHS, support like this is absolutely essential. It helps us continue providing compassionate care to everyone who needs it.

A big thank you to…
Oknytt Ceramics
The wonderful Hanna Salomonsson, or Oknytt Ceramics, has been the ceramicist behind the design and creation of the flowers since Flowers of Celebration began four years ago. We’d like to thank her for her talent and creativity, without which this campaign wouldn’t be possible.
Sky
Our friends at Sky continue to support this campaign as they have done in previous years, for which we are very grateful. Their kind donation allowed our visitors to enjoy sandwiches, cakes, snacks and soft drinks free of charge.
NAB
Our friends at NAB braved the heat to spend a volunteering day carefully planting each delicate flower in the garden. We’re thankful for their time, patience and care.
Tommy and Marie Walsh
A long-term Hospice supporter and local boy, ex-Ground Force presenter Tommy and his wife Marie were instrumental in helping to promote this event. Thank you, Tommy and Marie!
