London Marathon 2026
The London Marathon is the biggest fundraising event on the planet and quite simply, the world’s greatest marathon!
Starting in historical Greenwich and finishing in the Mall, this famous route takes in many of London’s top sights whilst hundreds of thousands of supporters line the route. The TCS London Marathon is a must for novices and experienced runners alike.

Taking on the London Marathon for #TeamSTJH will make a massive difference to us!
By hitting the target of £2,250, you could pay for a week of Day Hospice services for people living with life-limiting illnesses to come into the Hospice for the day to meet other people in similar situations and access services like counselling and physiotherapy.
We know that a challenge of this scale is no easy feat and that’s why we’ll be with you every step of the way – from sign up to celebrating with you when you complete this mammoth challenge!
We’ve got all the tips, tricks and goodies to get you there, including:
- A FREE Welcome Pack including our STJH running vest which we know makes you go faster!
- Excellent physio support and 18 week training plan from our partners at LDN Physio to get you race ready
- Support from our events fundraiser extraordinaire by phone, email or good old fashioned post – we’re on hand to help you smash your target!
- Meet the rest of #TeamSTJH at our Hospice London Marathon welcome brunch to share fundraising and training tips, with the option to join our #LM26 WhatsApp group for extra support from your fellow runners
- The loudest cheer squad: we are small but mighty when it comes to cheering on our runners and we’ll be out in force to support you on the day

2026 ballot places will be announced by London Marathon in July. If you are lucky enough to secure a place in the ballot and would like to fundraise for St Joseph’s Hospice, we’d love to hear from you.
