What to expect
Challenge basecamp is in Kendal, and it’s a 100km looped route with a few tough hills to Ambleside; a halfway point by Lake Windermere with stunning views enroute, and a huge welcome back at basecamp! Join up to 2,000 adventurers and sign up as an individual or as a team; you’ll get full support all the way, plenty of food & drink, optional camping & transfers, a special medal, T shirt and celebration finish.
With 50km half, marathon, quarter & 10km distance options also available – there’s a Lake District Challenge for everyone! Push yourself further in 2026, take on an Ultra Challenge – the UK’s No.1 Series of treks & trail challenges.

Distance: Choose from 10km, 25km, 50km, 75km and 100km
Registration fee: £15 – £199 depending on distance and funding option*
Fundraising target: £150 – £575 depending on distance*
