Why take on this year’s Great East Walk for St Joseph’s Hospice?

Taking on the Great East End Walk for #TeamStJosephs will make a massive difference to us – £101 could pay for a community nurse to safely visit a patient in their own home.

Just like our Hospice heroes are there for our patients and their families, we’ll be with you every step of the way. We’re ready with all the goodies, tips and tricks to create the best Great East End Walk ever, including:

An official route map – filled with fun facts galore and of course a step by step guide

A fundraising pack to help you raise some ‘bread and honey’ (money)!

Your very own St Joseph’s Hospice t-shirt

Support from our dedicated fundraising extraordinaires – contact us by dog and bone (phone), email or old fashioned post – either way, we’ll be here to help you smash you fundraising target!

A special St Joseph’s medal when you finish!

A flat cap if you raise your £100 fundraising target!

    FAQs

    What is the start time?

This year we are planning to have the same start time of 9am for all walkers. If you’d prefer to start earlier (the earliest start is 8.30am) or later (the latest start is 10am) then please email Becky at fundraising@stjh.org.uk.

    How do I fundraise?

As part of your registration fee you’ll get one of our fundraising pack with all of our tips on how to fundraise. You can either fundraise with sponsorship forms or on JustGiving.

Do I have to raise money for St Joseph’s

Yes, this is a fundraiser for St Joseph’s Hospice at organising the event does come at a cost to the Hospice. We need fundraisers to raise money for us to ensure the Hospice can keep providing excellent care.

Can my friends and family cheer me on?

We’re hoping to allow family and friends at the start but this is dependent on Covid guidelines. You are welcome to invite family and friends to meet you at the finish area.

I’ve registered but now I can’t make it, what should I do?

Please email Becky at fundraising@stjh.org.uk and we can defer your place to the 2024 event.

    Please be aware...

NB: As with all challenge events, this date may be subject to postponement or cancellation.
    We
will keep our runners up-to-date with any changes if and when they are announced.
