QCF Level 3 Award in Awareness of End of Life Care

This 4 day course is aimed at health care workers who have an interest in end of life care and the impact on individuals, their carers and families.

Course Content:

Through classroom based discussion, reflection and group work, you will:

  • Know different perspectives on death and dying.
  • Understand the aims, principles and policies of End of Life Care.
  • Understand the importance of communication for those involved in End of Life Care.
  • Understand common features of support in the last days of life.
  • Understand advance care planning.
  • Understand the impact of the last days of life on the dying person and others.
  • Understand how to support carers in end of life care.
  • Know the range of support services available and how to access them.



   £300.  Full 4 days attendance for the level 3 accreditation (award).

   £200.  3½ days attendance for the non- accredited option.

  1.    Monday 21st Jan 2019.
  2.    Tuesday 22nd Jan 2019.
  3.    Wednesday 23rd Jan 2019.
  4.    Friday 25th Jan 2019.


*March 2019:

9.00am – 17.00pm.

  1.    Monday 25th Mar 2019.
  2.    Tuesday 26th Mar 2019.
  3.    Wednesday 27th Mar 2019.
  4.    Thursday 28th Mar 2019.

*Please note, participants must attend all 4 classroom days and submit a portfolio of work to achieve the award.
