Terms and Conditions
St Joseph’s Hospice Christmas Hamper Raffle December 2025
1. The prize draw is open to all residents of the UK to those aged 16 or over, including employees and volunteers of St Joseph’s Hospice (the Charity), with the exclusion of those who are directly involved with organising the raffle.
2. Proof of age, identity and eligibility may be requested.
3. The closing date and draw dates for each raffle will be stated clearly on promotional materials. The closing date for the Christmas Hamper raffle is 18th December 2025.
4. Tickets can be purchased at St Joseph’s ‘Five Sisters Charity Shop’ at 77 Mare Street and 202 Well Street, or on site at the Christmas sale on Tuesday 9th December and at the Hospice until the closing dae.
5. Raffle tickets cost £2 for a row of 5 tickets. Payment for participation in the Raffle can be made by debit card or cash. Credit cards or other methods of payment cannot be accepted as payment for tickets. There will be no discount or offers provided in the sale of tickets.
6. No tickets can be sold to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 16 years. If a ticket is sold unknowingly to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 16 they will be exempt from the raffle and will forfeit their prize and the entry money will be returned to them.
7. There is no maximum number of entries.
8. The details of the prizes are specific to each raffle and will be stated clearly on any marketing materials.
9. The winner will be selected at random and contacted by St Joseph’s Hospice within seven working days of the draw date by telephone or email. If the winner does not respond in order to claim the prize by the end of the next working week, St Joseph’s Hospice reserves the right to contact the next eligible winner (and in this case the original winner forfeits their claim to the prize), and so on until a winner is found.
10. The prize is as stated. There is no cash alternative and the elements of the prize cannot be sold or transferred in any circumstances. For the avoidance of doubt, unless specified above, no other costs or expenses will be covered by St Joseph’s Hospice.
11. Proof of purchase will be required once the draw has been made. St Joseph’s Hospice cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever in the event of the loss or damage of any tickets.
12. Ticket stubs and payment need to be with the Charity by the closing date indicated for each raffle.
13. Raffle tickets will be entered into the draw only when the whole payment is received.
14. Payments received after the closing date will not be entered into the draw and payment will be treated as a donation to the Charity.
15. Tickets received after the closing date will not be entered into the draw and payment will be treated as a donation to the Charity.
16. Raffle ticket winners will be drawn at random and the draw will be witnessed by two people. Anyone who has entered the draw will not be permitted to draw the prize-winning tickets.
17. Prizes will be allocated in order of the tickets being drawn from the 1st prize down to the last one.
18. The result of the raffle draw is final.
19. All tickets and payments are processed by the Fundraising or Retail teams (staff and volunteers) who will be illegible to participate in the prize draw.
