Volunteers
Giving and Receiving
St Joseph’s relies on volunteers to help in many aspects of its work. There are new exciting opportunities available in our newly developed area “Finding Space”. To find out more about these opportunities please come along to our volunteer recruitment events in January and February 2010.

Volunteers do many different jobs at the Hospice; in the wards, Coffee Shop, Day Hospice, administrative offices and Fundraising Department, as well as in the Bereavement Service and Children’s Service and the Community Palliative Care Team.
Some tasks are practical e.g. assisting at jumble sales, Fetes and Bazaars. Others are more supportive, involving 'being there' for patients and relatives.
All play an important part in the overall life of St. Joseph's and those we care for. Volunteers help create the essential spirit of St. Joseph's and we could not manage without their generosity and willingness to help out whatever the task.
There are around 170 active volunteers at St. Joseph's and every year we recruit more. If you can spare some time and can make a regular commitment we'd love to hear from you.
To discuss volunteering, email Raksha on r.dattani@stjh.org.uk or phone 0208 5256032
