Research at St. Joseph’s Hospice focuses on aspects of palliative and end of life care. It is concerned with generating knowledge to improve the experience of those facing the end of life, including those from the communities of East London.
Research activity at the hospice is led by Dr Joy Ross, Consultant in Palliative Medicine at St. Joseph’s and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London.
The current research strategy has a number of different strands including translational pain research in relation to neuropathic pain and the use of opioid analgesics, and issues of ethnic diversity at the end of life. |
