Nurses are at the heart of everything we do at St Joseph’s, their care, compassion and commitment to their job means that patients are looked after 24 hours a day at the hospice as well as support being offered to over 250 people in their own homes at any one time.
It’s just not medical care they offer, they provide emotional support for patients and families, and they ensure that all needs are looked after even if it is just having a chat. We need to raise over £1.8m a year to pay for the wages of our nursing staff.
